The Dome was built and assembled in a rented storage unit. Paper was placed over the rib and used as patterns to cut the masonite. Later we discovered that placing a 16 foot sheet of masonite on the dome and scribing the lines from the inside worked best.

This is the dome base ring assembled.

Here, we are attaching the upper panel supports so that the top of the masonite will have support.

The first set of panels are attached. Vertical strips are 2 inch wide aluminum that serves to seal the edges of the masonite.

Pat Downs (Dome creator) peers down from above. Originally we used 8 foot sheets of masonite. This require a small cross piece of aluminum to seal the gap. Later we replaced all the panels using 16 foot masonite sheets and 16 foot aluminum strips.
