The Dome was built and assembled in a rented storage unit. Paper was placed over the rib and used as patterns to cut the masonite. Later we discovered that placing a 16 foot sheet of masonite on the dome and scribing the lines from the inside worked best. |

Here, we are attaching the upper panel supports so that the top of the masonite will have support. |
The first set of panels are attached. Vertical strips are 2 inch wide aluminum that serves to seal the edges of the masonite. |
Pat Downs (Dome creator) peers down from above. Originally we used 8 foot sheets of masonite. This require a small cross piece of aluminum to seal the gap. Later we replaced all the panels using 16 foot masonite sheets and 16 foot aluminum strips. |
